In 1982, Catherine Wajsman, a professor at the Université de Paris II with a passion for finance and experience in successfully managing the assets of several close friends, decided to start her own investment firm: Opportunité.

Catherine took the company to the international level based on her firm belief in the importance of forecasting, premium management strategies and of hiring talented managers.

Despite her many engagements, Catherine remains very active in the Group’s day-to-day management and guides its investment policy.
